TOT vs MUN Match Preview
Whoever wins the Europa League will be the worst team in the competition's history to be crowned ṭhe silverware with Tottenham (17th with 38 points) and Manchester United (16th with 39 points) destined for their worst Premier League campaign. However, domestic imbalance has not deterred both teams in Europe, with a successful run to the Europa League final to fight to return to the premier club competition, aside from winning a trophy amid a turbulent campaign. Spurs have the chance to end their 17-year wait for a trophy, knowing that their manager, Ange Postecoglou, has always won silverware in his second season in charge in his past jobs. The manager needs it more than ever to stay in his role for next season, with no other opportunity of redemption remaining in case of a failure. Tottenham finished fourth in the League Phase, overcame AZ Alkmaar, Eintracht Frankfurt and Bodo Glimt to be on the touching distance of becoming the second English club to win Europe's second-tier tournament three times, having won it twice before in 1972 and 1984. It will take them level with Liverpool, whom they last played a Champions League game against, losing 2-0 in the 2018-19 final, but they have every reason to believe they could win the 2024/25 Europa League. Postecoglou’s side has defeated Manchester United in all meetings this season, including a league double while keeping a clean sheet and a 4-3 success in the League Cup encounter. However, the final is a different ballgame altogether as Spurs wish they do not fail at the crucial stage again, having suffered the most losses in the league outside of the relegated three, with a 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa last weekend making it 21 defeats of the season and twice in this competition.
Manchester United’s season has been identical to that of Spurs, struggling domestically but lighting up the Europa League, being the only unbeaten side in the competition and could be the fourth side to win the trophy without losing a single game. Despite experiencing ups and downs in the Premier League, Ruben Amorim has demonstrated his managerial skills on the European stage. He aims to become only the third manager, following Jose Mourinho and Erik ten Hag, to win a major trophy in his debut season with the Red Devils. Mourinho was also the last manager to win the Europa League for United in the 2016-17 season, but the club lost in the previous final appearance to Villarreal four years later. They cannot repeat the same failure to book a spot in the Champions League after a season absence, with their Portuguese coach also easing some pressure on his shoulders. The Red Devils have made quite a run to the Europa League final by ending third in the League Phase, overruning a 10-minute penalty deficit at Old Trafford to win 5-2 on aggregate against Real Sociedad, making another miraculous turnaround at the venue to win 7-6 in extra-time drama against Lyon and then beating the final host Athletic Club 7-1 in the semifinals over two legs. United’s never-dying attitude could be key to their success, having also beaten Tottenham in the only other European meeting in the 1963-64 Cup Winners' Cup, a 4-3 aggregate win in the quarterfinal and also the only major final win on penalties in the 2009 League Cup final. However, the side has failed to win this fixture in the past six meetings in all competitions, the last five with Postecoglou in charge and also suffered defeats in three of the past four European finals. Amorin knows the high stakes of this encounter, hoping to deny Spurs their first continental success since 1984 by guiding Manchester United to a 97th win in this fixture.

TOT vs MUN Team News
Heung-min Son made a welcome return from a foot injury during the loss to Aston Villa over the weekend. He will retain his spot at the left with the winger and defender Ben Davies the only remaining members from their last European final adventure in 2018-19. However, Spurs have a devastating injury crisis with their competition stars Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison ruled out of the final alongside Lucas Bergvall, Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin.
Manchester United are also battling injury issues with Lisandro Martinez and Joshua Zirkzee, all ruled out for the campaign, while Matthijs de Ligt, Leny Yoro and Diogo Dalot remain major doubts for the showpiece. However, the team is in better shape than their opposition, captained by Golden Boot chaser Bruno Fernandes and having a five-time Champions League-winning midfield partner, Casemiro, who has been effective on the other side of the pitch. Mason Mount and Amad Diallo made a great impact off the bench in the semifinal and are pushing for a start here.

TOT vs MUN Dream11 Prediction
Despite Tottenham having an encouraging record against Manchester United and their manager's expertise in winning trophies in the second season, a lack of match-changing personnel due to injuries and the Red Devils’ mentality to change this around in the most crunching situation will be a big factor here to swing the favour. Ruben Amorin’s side also has great goal scorers and depth in the squad, which could make the difference. Nevertheless, it will be a close battle with United winning 2-1 after extra time and making it into the Champions League.
TOT vs MUN Dream11 Team Top picks
Captain Pick: Bruno Fernandes
Vice-captain Pick: Dominic Solanke

Bruno Fernandes is levelled with Kasper Waarts Høgh of Bodo Glimt and Ayoub El Kaabi of Olimpiacos with seven goals, hoping to eclipse them by scoring in the final to be the standalone Golden Boot winner. The Portuguese has also registered four assists, including a goal involvement in all but one match in the competition’s knockout stages this season. He has created the second most chances in the tournament with 41, the second most by any player this season.
Dominic Solanke has registered five goals and four assists in 12 Europa League games this season. He has also scored in all four of his appearances against Manchester United.
Spurs’ goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario has the best save percentage in the competition, with 80.8%, conceding the fewest goals (0.6) per 90. Meanwhile, right back Pedro Porro has provided five goal contributions (2 goals, 3 assists).
Casemiro has won every European final he has participated in, achieving victory in all seven of them. He hopes to win another one, scoring two goals in the semifinals and providing two assists for the last goals that completed the quarterfinal turnaround for his side.
His midfield partner, Manuel Ugarte, has been involved in five goals (1 goal, 4 assists) in 10 Europa League matches, including three of his last four.
Rasmus Hojlund is also in contention for the top scorer award with six goals in 14 matches and two assists.
