20. Ipswich — Promoted Side Expected to Go Back
Ipswich Town face an extremely difficult challenge on their return to the Premier League. While promotion is a huge achievement, the step up in quality is significant, and we expect them to struggle for consistency. Without enough proven Premier League quality, Ipswich are our pick to finish bottom and return to the Championship.
19. Hull City — Another Promoted Side to Struggle
Hull City could also find life in the Premier League extremely difficult. Their promotion gives supporters plenty to celebrate, but staying up will require a major improvement in squad quality. We expect them to compete but ultimately finish in the bottom three.
18. Crystal Palace — Our Shock Relegation Pick
This is our biggest surprise prediction. Crystal Palace could be dragged into a relegation battle after the departure of Oliver Glasner. His influence on the team was enormous, and replacing that identity will not be easy.
The added complication is Europa League football. A relatively thin squad could struggle with the extra fixtures, travel and fatigue. We therefore see Palace suffering a dramatic decline and finishing 18th.
17. Coventry — Frank Lampard Leads Them to Safety
Coventry could provide one of the season's biggest surprises. Despite being tipped for relegation by many, we expect Frank Lampard to guide them to Premier League survival. His leadership and the club's organisation could prove enough to keep them above the relegation zone.
16. Leeds — Survival Once Again
Leeds United should once again have enough attacking quality to avoid relegation. Players such as Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Harry Wilson provide valuable Premier League experience and talent. It may not be spectacular, but survival would represent another successful season.
15. Sunderland — European Football Makes Things Harder
Sunderland impressed last season, but repeating those heroics will be difficult with Europa League football added to the schedule. The extra workload could affect their league consistency, although we still expect them to comfortably retain their Premier League status.
14. Fulham — Life Without Marco Silva
Fulham face a major challenge following the departure of Marco Silva. The Portuguese manager established a clear identity at Craven Cottage, and replacing that stability could take time. We expect Fulham to remain competitive but drop towards the bottom half.
13. Everton — Same Finish Under David Moyes
David Moyes should continue to provide Everton with stability. We predict another 13th-place finish, with the Toffees comfortably avoiding relegation but remaining some distance away from the European places.
12. Brighton — Conference League Distraction
Brighton could be another team affected by European football. Their potential Conference League campaign will create additional fixtures, while their relatively thin squad could be tested heavily. We expect their league performance to suffer slightly, resulting in a 12th-place finish.
11. Brentford — A Small Step Back
Brentford exceeded expectations last season and deserve enormous credit for their performances. However, maintaining that level year after year is difficult. We expect a slight dip in quality this time around, although another comfortable top-half finish would still represent an excellent campaign.
10. Newcastle — A New Identity Under Matthias Jaissle
Newcastle could look completely different this season under Matthias Jaissle. His arrival represents a major change in philosophy and identity. While the transition may take time, we expect the Magpies to remain competitive and finish comfortably inside the top half.
9. Bournemouth — Life Without Iraola
Bournemouth will miss Andoni Iraola, whose work transformed the club into one of the Premier League's most exciting teams. Europa League football will also make their campaign more demanding. Nevertheless, we expect them to survive comfortably and continue progressing.
8. Nottingham Forest — Glasner's Surprise
Oliver Glasner could make Nottingham Forest one of the season's surprise packages. His arrival gives Forest an exciting tactical direction, and we expect them to outperform expectations with an impressive eighth-place finish.
7. Aston Villa — European Pressure Takes Its Toll
Aston Villa face a difficult campaign with Champions League football increasing the workload. Losing important players such as Morgan Rogers could make things even harder. Their squad will be tested across multiple competitions, and we expect them to drop to seventh.
6. Manchester United — Squad Depth Could Hurt
Manchester United's transfer business has been somewhat unconvincing, and that could become a major problem with Champions League football returning. The lack of sufficient squad depth may be exposed during a demanding season, leaving United just outside the top five.
5. Liverpool — A Transitional Season
Liverpool could experience similar problems. The squad still possesses enormous quality, but adapting to new manager Andoni Iraola's methods will take time. With Champions League football adding pressure, we expect Liverpool to endure a transitional campaign and finish fifth.
4. Tottenham — De Zerbi Delivers a Shock
Tottenham are our surprise Champions League qualifiers.
Roberto De Zerbi has brought a completely different tactical identity to North London, and we believe Spurs will thrive under his management. A fourth-place finish would be a major statement.
3. Manchester City — Maresca Needs Time
Manchester City's poor
Community Shield performance may raise questions, but we are not reading too much into it. Enzo Maresca has inherited a team capable of competing for the title, and we expect City to improve significantly as the season progresses. Third place would still represent a strong campaign.
2. Chelsea — Serious Title Contenders
Chelsea could be Arsenal's biggest challengers. With no European football to distract them,
Xabi Alonso can focus almost entirely on the Premier League. The Blues have also added much-needed experience and further quality to their squad. They may fall short of the title, but second place would underline their progress.
1. Arsenal — Premier League Champions
Our predicted Premier League 26/27 champions are Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta's side look a level above the rest of the league heading into the new campaign. After years of challenging at the top, Arsenal have developed the consistency, depth and mentality required to finish the job. With their core continuing to mature, we expect the Gunners to reclaim the Premier League title.
