Born in Douala, Etta Eyong began his football journey in Cameroon with local academy Ecole de Football Galactique before moving to Spain in January 2022 to join the youth setup at Cádiz CF. He initially featured for Cádiz’s Juvenil side and later gained senior experience with Fundación Cádiz in the regional Tercera Andaluza.
Ahead of the 2022–23 season, Eyong was promoted to Cádiz’s reserve team. While he started out mainly as a backup option, his career took a positive turn in the 2023–24 campaign when he was converted into a forward. The positional switch paid off, as he began scoring regularly and catching attention. His progress was rewarded in January 2024 when he made his first-team and La Liga debut, coming off the bench in an away match against Deportivo Alavés.
In August 2024, Eyong moved on to Villarreal CF, signing a three-year deal and joining their reserve side, Villarreal B, in Primera Federación. His steady development continued, and in April 2025 he earned another La Liga appearance, this time with Villarreal’s senior team, in a draw against Real Sociedad. Just weeks later, he scored his first top-flight goal, netting the winner in an away victory over Girona FC.
Eyong’s rise led to another major step in September 2025, when he joined Levante on a four-year contract. He made an immediate impact, scoring on his debut in a 2–2 draw against Real Betis. The youngster has been impressive for the club, and has attracted interest from Europe's top clubs.
