Our Opinion
Manchester City have always been known for their excellent scouting when it comes to transfers, so it isn't a big surprise to see a top club like them being interested in a talented player like Kennet Eichhorn. He certainly does look like a great potential player with huge potential, and defensive midfield is certainly a position where Man City will have to focus in the coming years, as Rodri is not getting any younger and it's also not a guarantee that City's Ballon d'Or winner will renew his contract with Pep Guardiola's side.
It will not be an easy task though for City to sign the player, as the report from Fabrizio Romano clearly states that numerous English and German clubs are looking at the player. They'll have to convince the player that their project is the best for his growth as a player.
As things stand, it's too early to give a definite opinion where Eichhorn might end up after the summer transfer window. It does look likely that he'll leave his current club Hertha owing to the huge interest he's generating from other top clubs. One thing is for certain, he definitely looks like a player who has all the required tools to eventually make it as a successful player at a top club.
