Australia are starting the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 as the hosts and defending champions as they won their first T20 World Cup trophy last year.

The favourite team Australia is in the Group 1 of the Super 12 stage along with New Zealand, England, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka (Group A champions in the First Round) and Ireland (Group B runners-up in the First Round). At the end of this Super 12 stage, the top two teams of this group will qualify for the Semi-finals of this competition.
