Zimbabwe and Namibia have qualified for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 after finishing top in the Africa Regional Final held in Zimbabwe.

ICC T20 World Cup 2026 Africa Regional Final results

Zimbabwe and Namibia have qualified for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which India and Sri Lanka will host in February and March 2026.


In the 2025 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Regional Final, Zimbabwe and Namibia finished in the top two places to book their tickets for the next Men’s T20 World Cup. The Regional Final was organised in Zimbabwe between 26th September and 4th October 2025, where eight teams participated.


The Regional Final started with the group stage, where Namibia, Kenya, Nigeria, and Malawi were in Group A, and Tanzania, Uganda, Botswana, and the hosts Zimbabwe were in Group B.

  • From Group B, hosts Zimbabwe and Tanzania finished in the top two places to qualify for the Semi-finals.


The goal was simple for the Semi-finalists as the victory in the Semi-final would secure the place for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. 


2025 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Regional Final: Semi-finals and Final

In the first Semi-final, Namibia defeated Tanzania by 63 runs, where Namibia scored 174/6 and they restricted Tanzania to 111/8. 

In the second Semi-final, the hosts Zimbabwe comfortably beat Kenya by seven wickets after successfully chasing the 123-run target in 15 overs after losing only three wickets. 


After Kenya won the third-place playoff against Tanzania by 51 runs, hosts Zimbabwe won the Final by beating Namibia by seven wickets after successfully chasing the 168-run target in 19.2 overs while losing three wickets.
