Test cricket has the completely different charm of either watching or playing it. The dream of becoming a professional cricketer will remain the dream for me now but that passion of cricket I hope I can showcase through my wits of amateur abilities. The only test match between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh has started with high expectations from Bangladesh tigers but it was all blown away on the fifth ball of a first over when Blessing Muzarabani has ripped off the stumps of Bangladeshi opener Saif Hassan who was cleaned bowled without scoring a run and left his captain choice to bat first in the uncertainties.
The scoreboard of Bangladesh has reached the 8 runs and looked to recover from the early blow before Blessing Muzarabani strikes again to provide another dent in visitors line-up when Nazmul Hossain Shanto was caught by Dino Myers to restrict the Bangladesh scoreboard to 8 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. But just at the stroke of lunch Bangladesh has lost its third wicket in the form of Shadman Islam at the score 68/3 while adding 60 runs partnership for the third wicket.
Straight after lunch the captain Mominul Haque took the charge and cleared the visitors' intentions with some quick boundaries to increase the flow of runs and complete his half-century. The scoreboard was about to take off once again before Blessing Muzarabani has arrived to derailed the intentions of visitors once again when Mushfiqur Rahim was caught in front of wickets to leave the scoreboard at 106/4.
Just three runs were added into the scoreboard of Bangladesh before Shakib Al Hasan has start walking towards the pavilion after getting caught by RM Chakabva on the bowling of Victor Nyauchi. Before Bangladesh looked to save his derailed flight, the captain of the flight Mominul Haque was caught by Dino Myers after scoring 70 runs to left Bangladesh team in deep troubles at the score of 132 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.
The flight which was about to take off was now going almost into shambles.
But Visitors were having still four wickets in hands to redeem themselves and that’s what the players like Liton Das and Mahmudullah have did to not just save the team from getting out at low score but have completely changed the picture of the match. Cricket is game of uncertainties and its once again proved in the first innings of Bangladesh. Liton Das and Mahmudullah have added 138 runs partnership for the 7th wicket before Liton Das has missed out his maiden test century by runs after scoring 95 runs. Donald Tiripano has picked up two wickets in two balls to slowed down the flight of Bangladesh which was going very smooth and restrict them to 270/8. While Bangladesh ended the day’s one play at 294 runs for the loss of 8 wickets with Mahmudullah remains not out at 50 runs along with Taskin Ahmed on 13.
The pressure which was built by the Zimbabwe bowlers at the start of innings was shifted in the middle of the day towards the visitors while at the end of the day it's again the balance game so far. The home side now looks to be bowled out at score tomorrow and comes with the strategy to score big runs in their first innings against the quality bowling attack of Visitors.
