Roman Reigns vs Jacob Fatu for World Heavyweight Championship
This will be the main event for the World Heavyweight Championship. Roman Reigns won the match at WrestleMania 42 Against CM Punk In an instant classic. The first Feud has been against Jacob Fatu and it has been a very good build to this match. Roman Reigns has been very invested and has been appearing every week on Raw. This will be a very physical match and Roman Reigns will win the match and retain his World Heavyweight Championship. Jacob Fatu will inevitably join The Bloodline with The Usos. WWE Backlash has benefitted from the appearance of The Tribal Chief.
Trick Williams vs Sami Zayn for United States Championship
This will be a rematch from WrestleMania 42. At that time Sami Zayn was not a full blown heel but at WWE Backlash Trick Williams will be the babyface. Sami Zayn has finally accepted that he is a heel and is taking in the boos of the crowd. Their match at WrestleMania was very short at 7 minutes and so this will be an opportunity to have a 15 minutes classic. Both are extremely good professional wrestlers and Trick Williams will win this match and look towards the future. Sami Zayn will also feud with other babyfaces.
Iyo Sky vs Asuka
This is the only women’s match that has been announced for the show. It is a match that has seen the most turbulent build. Kairi Sane who was an important part of the storyline was released from WWE. That put a halt on the momentum but Iyo Sky and Asuka are two of the top women in WWE and they marched on with difficulty. Finally they will have a match at WWE Backlash. Iyo Sky will win this match and she will then move ahead to the match for the Women’s World Championship. Kairi Sane will be there at WWE Backlash to finish the story.
Seth Rollins vs Bron Breakker
This long term feud has just started. Seth Rollins vs Bron Breakker is a Feud that has waited long enough to happen in WWE. Both men were severely injured during the Road to WrestleMania 42 and finally they will get to have the storyline they wanted to have. Bron has to step up and show that he is the future of WWE. Oba Femi has retired Brock Lesnar and has become the biggest babyface. Seth Rollins will push Bron Breakker to the limit and The Vision will not be far behind. Bron Breakker will win this first match and it will be because of The Vision.
Danhousen and Tag Team Partner vs The Miz and Kit Wilson
This is the tag team match that has been announced for the show. The Miz and Kit Wilson have been feuding against Danhousen for a month and at WrestleMania 42 they had the funniest WWE segment of the year. This tag team match has one surprise component. Danhousen doesn’t have a partner till now and that will only be revealed at the show. Whoever the partner is, the winners of the match will be Danhousen and Tag Team Partner.
