WWE Bash in Berlin in August 2024

WWE stands for World Wrestling Entertainment and finally WWE is using the World in their company to the best effect. WWE has been used to doing PPVs in the USA or Max to max they will go to Canada. However, ever since Nick Khan has become the President of WWE, he has made sure that WWE does a lot more international shows and PPVs. This has truly expanded the base of WWE and the latest addition to this list is Germany. WWE announced that they will hold Bash in Berlin in August 2024 after SummerSlam.

Let’s talk about the significance of this move and why this is great for WWE and the fans

WWE is now truly World Wrestling Entertainment

WWE announced yesterday that it will hold a PPV for the first time in Germany called WWE Bash in Berlin. They will hold this event at the Mercedes Benz Arena in Berlin which has a capacity of 15,000 fans. This is not the first time in the last few years that WWE has held a PPV in another country other than the USA. It all started with WWE Clash at the Castle as that was a test and more than 62,000 fans turned up at the stadium to see an incredible wrestling show. After WWE Clash at the Castle was a huge success, WWE decided that it will do more international PPVs. The Saudi Arabia shows went from being glorified house shows to PPVs which are can’t miss and have the biggest matches in them. And WWE Crown Jewel 2023 will be one of the biggest and it has sold out within hours with more than 20,000 fans.

The year 2023 was the year where everything changed as far as international PPVs go. First there was the Elimination Chamber in Montreal which got sold out in no time and more than 17,000 fans attended the show. Then there was Money in the Bank where more than 20,000 loud UK fans were cheering for everything. That show was also one of the best. Nobody can forget WWE Backlash in Puerto Rico and more than 18,000 rabid WWE fans blew the roof off the arena. WWE has shown that they are willing to have all the PPVs international except the big 4 for now. WWE Bash in Berlin is happening because of Gunther and Imperium who are all from that area and they are famous in Germany. Then there is the NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov who is also from that area in the world. WWE fans have already dreamed about Gunther vs Ilja Dragunov for the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of that show.

WWE Bash in Berlin will sell out in no time as WWE will provide the best show for the fans. It would be incomplete if WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 is not mentioned which will be held at the Optus Stadium in Perth in February and more than 65,000 Tickets will be sold for that one and it will be a sell out and Rhea Ripley will main event that PPV. WWE will also do another PPV in the UK next year and there are credible reports that WWE Backlash next year will be held in Paris, France after seeing the undeliverable reception that the WWE superstars got when they went for a house show. WWE should have WWE Backlash at a stadium holding more than 60,000 fans because it will immediately sell out. WWE Bash in Berlin will be the first of Hopefully many future German PPVs and the next time the capacity might also be increased to 60,000+ fans. The WWE fans in India are also waiting for a PPV and the fans in India will fill out the stadiums and there is the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad which can hold 1,32,000 fans which will be the biggest show that WWE ever does. WWE under Nick Khan and now with it being TKO partnered with UFC under Endeavor will be incredible for everyone.
