There are players and then there are players like Brian Lara who  when they reach 10,000 runs in test cricket are the fastest one to do that and he was one of the two best batters of the 1990s and the 2000s and he was such an elegant player that all the teams loved watching him bat except when he was playing against them because he would mesmerize everyone and he got lots of runs when he batted like 375 and 400*. Truly an incredible player.

2. Sachin Tendulkar (195 Innings):

We cannot talk about Brian Lara without talking about this man who was his main competitor when it came to batting and there’s no surprise that Sachin Tendulkar also reached 10,000 runs in test cricket in 195 innings but because Brian Lara did it technically before him he is number 1 on this list and Sachin Tendulkar would go on to become the only batter in test cricket history to cross the 15,000 run mark as well

3. Kumar Sangakkara (195 Innings):

The third batter in this list is the great Sri Lankan batter known as Kumar Sangakkara and he is third on this list because he got this mark after the first two and he is also the second left handed batter on this list and he averaged over 57 in test cricket and scored a lot of Hundreds for his nation and he would go on to score more than 12,000 runs for Sri Lanka and he was a big pillar of the Sri Lankan batting.

4. Ricky Ponting (196 Innings):

It’s nice to see that all the 4 players in this list are from different nations and this one is the great Ricky Ponting from Australia who was one of the most consistent batters of his time and the fact that he got 41 test hundreds is incredible. He is also one of the very few batters to have got 10,000 runs in both Tests and ODIs. An absolute champion of a player.

5. Rahul Dravid (206 Innings):

The fifth and final player on this list is from India he is the Wall known as Rahul Dravid. He was the most dependable player and the batting partnership with Sachin Tendulkar is one I’d the best number 3 and 4 pairs in test cricket history and they have piled on the runs and he has got more than 13,000 runs in 168 test matches and he is one of those players that is beloved by everyone and still is.
