Who is Julien Alfred?
Saint Lucia athlete Julien Alfred claimed her third straight Diamond League title, but it was her first one in the women’s 200m event. In the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, she won a gold medal in the women’s 100m event and a silver medal in the women’s 200m event.
Further, in the women’s 100m events, she also recorded a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games 2022 and a bronze medal at the World Athletics Championships 2025. Alfred holds the national records in women’s 100m and 200m events. In the 2026 Diamond League season, she won three times in the women’s 200m event before the Final.
