India vs New Zealand 2023 2nd T20I Lucknow T20I Creates A New Record Of No Sixer

In the low-scoring Lucknow T20I, the hosts India ultimately managed to level the series with a hard-fought six-wicket win with one ball remaining. It was a complete T20I match among ICC Full Members with the most deliveries without a sixer.

Leading the three-match series by 1-0, the visitors New Zealand chose to bat first during the second game at Lucknow. While New Zealand were restricted to 99/8 in 20 overs, the hosts took 19.5 overs to chase the 100-run target after losing four wickets. Though the hosts were mostly in control during that game, they were also very close to suffering a surprising defeat on a tough batting wicket.

It was a rare T20I game without a sixer. While that match experienced 239 deliveries, it was the longest T20I (number of balls) among the ICC Full Members to end with zero over-boundary.
