Best FPL captain this week (Gameweek 16)
Cole Palmer (Chelsea, £10.3m)
Chelsea are being extremely careful with Cole Palmer after his return from Injury. This meant the club rested him for their Champions League game against Atalanta. Thus, you'll have a fit and fresh Palmer when Chelsea face Everton at home in Gameweek 16. Everton aren't the most difficult side and with the game being at Stamford Bridge, Palmer is definitely one of the best FPL captain picks for the week.
Bukayo Saka (Arsenal, £10.2m)
Bukayo Saka is arguably the best FPL captain for this week if we're purely looking at fixture difficulty. Wolves at home is the easiest Premier League game of the season due to how underwhelming they've been this season. Saka was also rested for Arsenal's easy Champions League win over Club Brugge, only coming for 20 minutes as a substitute towards the end. Thus, he'll be fully fit and sure to terrorize the Wolves defenders with his exquisite passing and dribbling skills.
Erling Haaland (Manchester City, £15.0m)
Erling Haaland finally got rid of the unwanted record he had of never scoring against Real Madrid in his career. His penalty goal was the difference between both sides that resulted in City earning all 3 points. Thus, the Norwegian will be full of confidence when City take on Crystal Palace in Gameweek 16, and there's a huge probability of him ending that game with huge returns in his current form. Undoubtedly a really attractive FPL captain this week.
Thiago (Brentford, £7.0m)
Leeds were able to get surprising results against the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool recently, but one thing about the club is that they always end up conceding a lot of goals. Thus, Thiago is a fantastic option as your FPL captain for this week since Brentford are known for scoring a lot of goals and the game is also a home fixture for him. A solid differential captain if you'd love to take an FPL captaincy risk.
Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United, £9.1m)
Bruno Fernandes has been splendid for Manchester United in the last few couple of games. He has already been involved in 10 Premier League goals, and is the League's leading assist provider with 6 assists. Manchester United will be facing Bournemouth next who have been quite underwhelming recently. The game also takes place at Old Trafford, and Fernandes could end up with yet another solid performance that gives you huge returns.
