Fantasy Premier League Best Picks Gameweek 14 | Sports Social Blog

UCL week catapults us back to League Football and once again people are surely scratching their heads as to who they’re going to pick for FPL. A lot of interesting matchups this week and a lot to consider because of the fatigue generated from the midweek games. It’s going to be a challenge to speculate on how the teams will change their squads and how other managers might make changes to take advantage of UCL fatigue.

There’s also the fact that the Premier League has become incredibly hard to predict with teams like Sheffield United, Wolves and Burnley dealing a surprising amount of damage. Then again there should be some players who are more than likely to fetch a decent amount of points this game week. Here’s a list of the best picks for game week 14.

#1. Ricardo Pereira (Leicester City; DEF)

Ricardo Periera is one of the best full-backs in the Premier league and is incredibly viable in FPL as well. Leicester is performing incredibly well with clean sheets in their last 4 matches. He has even scored 2 goals so far so there’s a potential for an exorbitant amount of points. It really is no wonder why he’s no. 2 among defenders(FPL). Leicester is up against 16th placed Everton so a clean sheet win is expected. Finally for all his benefits, his price-tag is only 6.4 million.

#2. Kevin De Bruyne ( Manchester City; MID)

He’s not only one of the highest points-getters among midfielder but one of the highest in the entire game. De Bruyne has had a total of 13 goal contributions and it basically doesn’t get much better than that. Man City is up against 14th placed Newcastle so a Win is expected. There’s a high chance of a clean sheet further considering that Newcastle has scored only 11 goals so far (2nd least in the league). De Bruyne’s contribution rate is high, the risks are low and even though he’s expensive at 10.2 million, so far he’s proving himself to be worth every bit of it.

#3. Heung-Min Son ( Tottenham Hotspur; MID)

Jose’ Mourinho’s return to the PL has changed a lot of perceptions and with the first W under his belt, it seems Tottenham might be headed in a good direction. Heung-Min Son scored 21 points over the last 2 games with 3 contributions. He is one of the top midfielders in FPL, scoring points consistently despite Tottenham’s hangups and with Mourinho’s recent appointment it looks like it’s only going to get better. He’s expensive at 9.7 million but he could be worth the splurge.

#4. Jamie Vardy (Leicester City; FWD)

Jamie Vardy is a must have at this point. He is currently the only player who is past the 100-plus range (points) and he seems to contribute to goals in every match. He’s had 16 goal contributions so far and is the top scorer in the PL. Leicester is up against Everton who as said earlier, is not exactly the most difficult opponent and Vardy can be expected to net another goal or create an assist in the coming match. Given how well him and his team is doing, it’s a surprise he’s still 9.7 million.
