EPL/Premier League Predictions for Gameweek 4
Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest
Mikel Arteta's Arsenal will be facing a familiar foe as they take on a Nottingham Forest that'll be now managed by former Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou. We expect Arsenal to earn a narrow win, and Forest to not have a new-manager bounce in this case.
Prediction - Arsenal 1-0 Nottingham Forest
Bournemouth vs Brighton
Bournemouth and Brighton are 2 brilliant examples of how mid-table clubs should be run in the Premier League. Both clubs are coming from spectacular victories, with Bournemouth beating Spurs and Brighton overcoming Manchester City. With their added home advantage, we expect a Bournemouth win here.
Prediction - Bournemouth 3-1 Brighton
Newcastle vs Wolves
Newcastle have finally found their Alexander Isak replacements in Yoane Wissa and Nick Woltemade. The club were lacking a proper no.9 in their opening 3 Premier League fixtures, and now they'll have a solution against a Wolves side that have simply been terrible. Easy Newcastle win.
Prediction - Newcastle 3-0 Wolves
Everton vs Aston Villa
Even during their golden run under Unai Emery, Aston Villa have always been a club that has struggled away from home. Now their entire form is simply underwhelming, and Everton are looking better after each game as well. We have no doubts on the outcome here.
Prediction - Everton 2-1 Aston Villa
Crystal Palace vs Sunderland
Oliver Glasner's Crystal Palace side will be back in action after the Marc Guéhi transfer saga involving Liverpool. We're not sure if Guéhi will start or not, but still expect Palace to edge out Sunderland in this home fixture.
Prediction - Crystal Palace 2-0 Sunderland
Fulham vs Leeds United
Fulham are extremely unlucky to not have won a single game so far. A shambolic and controversial refereeing performance in their fixture against Chelsea probably cost them all 3 points before the international break. We expect them to finally get their 3 pointer when they face Leeds at home
Prediction - Fulham 1-0 Leeds United
West Ham vs Tottenham Hotspur
The expectation was that Nottingham Forest would destroy West Ham and Graham Potter would end up getting sacked. In a bizarre turn of events though, Nuno Espírito Santo has been sacked as Forest manager and Potter has still kept his job. With Tottenham next and West Ham showing a revival against Forest, we're expecting a stalemate here
Prediction - West Ham 0-0 Tottenham Hotspur
Brentford vs Chelsea
Brentford have had a mixed run in the Premier League so far, which is least surprising for a team that lost its star manager and multiple star players. Chelsea,on the other hand, are yet to lose in the league and we expect them to keep that streak alive.
Prediction - Brentford 1-3 Chelsea
Burnley vs Liverpool
Liverpool's attacking firepower is nothing less than frightening, and poor Burnley might be the first Premier League side to experience the full wrath of it. We expect Liverpool to destroy the home side, and get a glimpse of record signing Alexander Isak in a Liverpool shirt.
Prediction - Burnley 0-5 Liverpool
Manchester City vs Manchester United
Manchester United are immensely lucky that City aren't in their best form right now and that the international break came in between. We still expect nothing less than a hammering here, and Erling is probably going to score quite a few to the misery of Manchester United supporters.
Prediction - Manchester City 5-1 Manchester United
