Lucknow Super Giants are among the two newest teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL) history, as the franchise is ready for the IPL 2026. It will be their fifth IPL season, while they reached the playoffs in their first two seasons and were eliminated from the Eliminators in both those seasons. In the last two seasons, they failed to reach the playoffs by finishing in seventh position in both editions.
Before the IPL 2026 mini-auction, Lucknow Super Giants or LSG retained 17 players and traded in two more Indians. While they started the mini-auction with the remaining purse value of INR 22.95 crore, they added the remaining six players, including three overseas players.
