AEW Revolution 2024 was one of the best PPVs in the history of the company. It was also a very special show as it was the last match in the iconic career of Sting. Christian Cage beat Daniel Garcia for AEW TNT Championship
The first match of the night was an Epic match between Christian Cage vs Daniel Garcia for the AEW TNT Championship. This was a 17 minute match and it was a huge opportunity for Daniel Garcia to show all his skills as a wrestler. Christian Cage has been one of the best things about the company. These 2 had a banger and set the tone for the rest of the show. Christian Cage beat his opponent and retained his TNT Championship.
Eddie Kingston beat Bryan Danielson for Continental Crown Championship
This was one of the best matches of the year so far in wrestling. It was between Eddie Kingston vs Bryan Danielson. It was for the Continental Championship which included 3 titles. This match was 20 minutes and both of them beat the heck out of each other. For 20 minutes it was professional wrestling at its best. Eddie Kingston won the match and Bryan Danielson had to shake his hand. Eddie Kingston will soon win the AEW World Championship.
Roderick Strong beat Orange Cassidy for AEW International Championship
This was the first title change of the night. It was the match between Roderick Strong vs Orange Cassidy for the AEW International Championship. This was another very good match that lasted for 13 minutes. This was the best Roderick Strong match in months. Orange Cassidy has been a great champion but it is now time for Roderick Strong. He beat Orange Cassidy and it will be interesting to see how long he holds it.
Blackpool Combat Club beat FTR
This match was tag team wrestling at its very best. This was 22 minutes of pure wrestling magic. This was the match between Blackpool Combat Club which had Jon Moxley and Claudio Castrangali vs FTR. This was between one of the best tag teams In the world and 2 great singles stars. This was a back and forth match and the 16,000+ fans that were there at the arena had a great time. They showed the world why they should be AEW Tag Team Champions. Blackpool Combat Club beat FTR via technical submission.
Homeless Toni Storm beat Deonna Purazzo for AEW Women’s Championship
This was one of the women’s matches at the show. This was a very good match which had 2 of the best wrestlers. It was the champion Toni Storm vs Deonna Purazzo. This match was 13 minutes and the hope was it could have been extended by 5 minutes. Toni Storm beat Deonna Purazzo. Now all eyes turn to AEW Big Business where a certain Mone will debut.
Will Osperay beat Konosuke Takeshita
This was easily the best match of the night and the best wrestling match of 2024 so far. Will Osperay is a different kind of wrestler and he is one of the very best in the world. He and Konosuke Takeshita had an unbelievable 22 minute classic in front of 16,000 fans. They had the crowd in the palm of their hands. This was magic as they hit each other with their best moves. In the end it was Will Osperay that got the win and he will prove to be a very successful signing for AEW.
Samoa Joe beat Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland for AEW World Championship
The co main event of the evening was the match for the AEW World Championship. This would have normally main evented the show but This was not just any other PPV. This match was excellent as it had 3 of the best singles stars in the company. Samoa Joe has been a great champion and he had 2 tough opponents. This was a 20 minute match where all 3 men got the opportunity to show why they should be AEW World Champion. In the end Samoa Joe tapped out Adam Page and he tapped quickly because he did not want Swerve Strickland to win the title.
Sting and Darby Allin beat The Young Bucks got AEW Tag Team Championship
This was the main event of the show. This was the last match in the legendary career of Sting. It was a tornado tag team match vs The Young Bucks. This match was 21 minutes of pure madness and epic wrestling. Darby Allin went all out as he crashed on top of a glass and he was bleeding all over his body. Sting also took some nasty bumps and The Young Bucks were excellent as always. Everyone wanted to give Sting the perfect retirement match. After 21 minutes it was Sting who won his last match.
