2026 Diamond League Final - Women's 800m Results

Swiss athlete Audrey Werro defended the 2026 Diamond League crown after winning the women’s 800m race in the Final event in Brussels, where she set a meet record. It was a Diamond+ event in the Final competition. 


To set a new meet record, Werro completed her race in 1:54.75. Kenyan Pamela Jelimo was the previous meet record holder by finishing the race in 1:55.16 in 2008. 


Dutch star Femke Broeders-Bol (1:54.81) and Swiss Veronica Vancardo (1:58.66) finished second and third spots, respectively.

Who is Audrey Werro?

Audrey Werro from Switzerland recorded her back-to-back Diamond League crown in the women’s 800m event. The European Athletics Championships 2026 gold medalist Werro claimed a silver medal in the World Athletics Indoor Championships 2026. In the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, she failed to reach the Final, as she was eliminated from the repechage round. In the 2026 Diamond League season, Werro won five times before defending her crown in the Final.
