In the Visakhapatnam T20I on Wednesday (28 January), the Blackcaps claimed a 50-run victory against the Men in Blue, as the series became 3–1 with one match to go.
New Zealand were sent to bat first, while the visitors managed to score 215/7 in 20 overs. After managing 71/0 at the end of the powerplay, New Zealand's openers managed the 100-run partnership in 8.2 overs. While opener Devon Conway scored 44 off 23 balls with four fours and three sixes, his opening partner Tim Seifert slammed 62 off 36 balls with seven fours and three sixes.
Also, Daryl Mitchell played a brilliant knock of 39 not out in 18 balls with two fours and three sixes, while Glenn Phillips scored 24 runs.

In reply, India lost their opener Abhishek Sharma on the first ball, and it was just the beginning of their regular wicket falls. Although the middle-order batter Shivam Dube slammed a 15-ball fifty and scored 65 off 23 balls with three fours and seven sixes before getting an unfortunate run out, there were hardly any supporting performances from the Indian batters.
Earlier, opener Sanju Samson (24) and the no.4 batter Rinku Singh had a quick 46-run partnership for the third wicket. Rinku later scored 39 runs before losing his wicket, as only Sanju, Rinku, and Shivam managed to reach the 20-run mark.
