In those 28 Matches he has scored 674 runs at an average of 29.30 and taken 15 Catches as well. He is definitely one of the all time greatest world cricketers.


Sanath Jayasuriya (25 Matches)


The second most matches played by a player in Asia Cup history is by Sanath Jayasuriya and he has played 25 Matches in Asus Cup history and his run went from 1990-2008 that means a glorious 18 years at the top of Asia. In this time he scored an amazing 1220 runs at a great average of 53.04. He has scored 6 Hundreds in Asia Cup history. He has also taken 22 wickets in Asia Cup which is one of the best in tournament. So he is an all time Asia Cup legend.


Aravinda De Silva (24 Matches)


The third player on this list is another Sri Lanka great and he is Aravinda De Silva and he has played 24 Matches in Asus Cup history and his run went from 1984-2000 that means 16 years at the top. He scored 645 runs in his Asia Cup career at an average of 32.25 with a highest score of 96*. He has also taken 5 wickets in this tournament.


Muttiah Muralitharan (24 Matches)


The fourth on this list is another Sri Lankan legend and he has also played 24 Matches in his glorious Asia Cup career and he has taken 30 wickets in his Asia Cup career and his run went from 1995-2029 and he is also the second highest wicket taker in the history of this tournament. Muttiah Muralitharan is surely missed by all the Sri Lankan fans and the current team.

The 5th and final member of this list is also a Sri Great and he is Kumar Sangakkara.
