FPL GW24 Top Picks

We are ready for the exciting Gameweek 24 of the Premier League 2024/25 as the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers have some big opportunities to produce big scores. Also, from this gameweek, the brand new chip Assistant Manager is available for selection.

Gameweek 24 is double headers for Liverpool and Everton, as Everton will host Leicester City and Liverpool will travel to Bournemouth before the Merseyside Derby in Everton. Meanwhile, the tough game Arsenal vs Manchester City will be played on Sunday.

Goalkeepers

Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels is leading the goalkeepers' points table with 99 points with a clean sheet record of nine. However, he failed to maintain a clean sheet for the last three fixtures. Everton goalie Jordan Pickford and Arsenal star David Raya have 95 points and 90 points, respectively. However, Raya has a knock tag with a 75% chance of playing.

Talking about the favourable fixture, eighth-placed Aston Villa will face 18th-place Wolves, so Emiliano Martínez has a strong chance to bring top performance. Newcastle goalie Martin Dúbravka (42 points) has recorded five clean sheets in eight outings this PL season.

Defenders

Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina (102 points) and Liverpool back Trent Alexander-Arnold (101 points) have reached the three-figure mark. Meanwhile, Arsenal’s Gabriel Magalhães (92 points) and Newcastle’s Lewis Hall (91 points) have also recorded 90+ points.

While Arsenal vs Manchester City is going to be a key battle this gameweek, Aston Villa’s defenders Lucas Digne (62 points) and Ezri Konsa (49 points) can be good options while they visit 18th-placed Wolves.

FPL managers need to give importance to the double schedule for Liverpool and Everton.

Midfielders

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has recorded 19 goals and 13 assists as he is leading the overall FPL points table with 222 points. After missing producing attacking returns for two gameweeks, the Egyptian scored one goal in the last game. In Gameweek 24, Liverpool have two matches, and it can be a good opportunity for the Triple Captain chip.

Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer (167 points) and Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo (147 points) are the next top midfielders, while Bournemouth’Justin Kluivert (121 points) is in serious form by recording five goals and two assists, including a hat-trick and an assist against Newcastle United. Also, Kluivert can be a good budget choice as his value is £5.7m.

Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon (106 points) is also in strong form, as he produced the attacking return in nine out of the last 11 games.

The other in-form budget (less than £6m) names are Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo (100 points) and Dango Ouattara (84 points), Brentford’s Mikkel Damsgaard (87 points) and Kevin Schade (83 points), Newcastle’s Jacob Murphy (80 points) etc.

Forwards

Newcastle forward Alexander Isak is leading the forwards' points table with 150 points, while Man City’s Erling Haaland has earned 143 points. Isak has recorded 17 goals and five assists this PL season, while Haaland has scored 18 goals and two assists. Haaland brought attacking returns in four of the last five matches (five goals and one assist), while Isak has excelled by producing attacking returns in nine out of the last ten fixtures (13 goals and three assists).

Nottingham Forest’s Chris Wood is in third place with 137 points after scoring 14 goals and two assists. Although he failed to produce an attacking return in their last game against the hosts Bournemouth, he recorded straight attacking returns in four previous matches.

While Wolves’ Matheus Cunha (116 points) couldn’t manage attacking points in the last three matches, Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins (114 points) is in good form by bringing attacking returns in four of the last five matches.

In less than £6 m budget value, Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye, Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy, and Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee are the top in-form names (at least one assist in the last two games).
