Every year when WrestleMania is closer than this debate rages on as to which match should Main Event at WrestleMania, however with WrestleMania being two nights since the past few years it means that there are two main events of WrestleMania for each of those two nights and therefore the debate is for both nights every year but fortunately this year there will not be a debate for the main event of Night Two as it is locked by Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar with it being Champion vs Champion so that leaves us with the main event slot of night one and the fans are debating as to which match deserves that honor?
As can be seen in this picture, there are Two matches that are in contention to be at the main event slot for night one of WrestleMania 38 and both of these matches are big matches for a women’s Championship. Firstly it is Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown women’s Championship and then we have Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship and both of these matches can easily take that spot but there can be only one. So , let’s see why those matches can main event WrestleMania 38 night one.
Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair- SmackDown Women’s Championship
This match can easily main event WrestleMania 38 Night One because it features the 2022 Royal Rumble winner Ronda Rousey who is one of the biggest draw in not just women but in all of sport so there is star power in this match and then there is Charlotte Flair who is one of the greatest of all time when it comes to the women as she is a 13 time Women’s Champion so this match had a legitimate reason to main event WrestleMania 38. And the notion that the Royal Rumble winner main events WrestleMania will also come true if it happens so this is one more reason for this match to main event WrestleMania 38. The most important reason is that both of these are great wrestlers and the previous match that they had is one of the best Women’s matches of all time so it’s guaranteed that both these ladies will bring their A Game and the match will be WrestleMania main event worthy.
Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair- Raw Women’s Championship
If we look at the better storyline among the two matches here then it has to be this match between Becky and Bianca as this match had been building since SummerSlam last year when Becky Lynch made her surprise return and beat Belair in 26 seconds and that changed the career of the EST and since then she has climbed the mountain to finally reach this spot to challenge Becky Lynch for the title. The fans of WWE want this match to main event WrestleMania as they are more invested in this match rather than the other match for this spot. And both Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair are the only two winners of previous women WrestleMania main event matches so it’s only fitting we determine as to who is the main event queen of WrestleMania by having these two fight it out at the main event once again.
The choice is very difficult for the WWE management to make as both these matches feel like main event worthy but if we ask the fans then they will say Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair but if we look at the continuity Perspective that the Royal Rumble winner main events WrestleMania then it can be Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair so let’s see what they eventually decide on but whatever that may be , there will be lots of discussion as to why this was chosen and the other one was not.
