WWE Royal Rumble 2026 Results

The 39th Annual WWE Royal Rumble took place on 31st January 2026 from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It was a 4 Match Show and went for 4 hours. The 2 Royal Rumble Matches were the starting and the ending of the show. The number of young talents that got the chance to shine and make a name for themselves was the best part of the Royal Rumble.

Liv Morgan Wins the Women’s Royal Rumble Match

The Women’s Royal Rumble Match kicked off the night with Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss starting as the first two entrants, setting a fast-paced tone. Kiana James entered at number three and was immediately targeted, while Nia Jax followed at number four but had her weakest Royal Rumble performance, lasting just 10 minutes before being eliminated by Flair—who also accidentally eliminated Bliss. Becky Lynch entered at number nine and reignited her rivalry with Flair, while NXT’s Lola Vice provided the first surprise. Jordynne Grace impressed by eliminating three competitors, and the match saw a major shock when Natalya eliminated Becky Lynch. Sol Ruca, entering at number 10, emerged as the MVP, lasting over 50 minutes and standing out as the best NXT performer.


Liv Morgan entered at number 14 and instantly became a fan favorite, with Lash Legend dominating after entering at number 15 by eliminating Charlotte Flair and five women overall. Iyo Sky arrived at number 20, followed by Rhea Ripley at number 22 to the loudest reaction of the match, before she was eliminated by Raquel Rodriguez after taking out three competitors. Jacy Jayne and Kelani Jordan were the final NXT participants remaining, while the biggest surprise came at number 29 with Brie Bella’s shocking return. Tiffany Stratton entered last at number 30, but it was Liv Morgan who sealed the moment by eliminating Stratton to win the Women’s Royal Rumble, as the lucky number 14 proved decisive once again.


Gunther beat AJ Styles and ended his career


The next match was the most emotional match of the evening. It was Gunther taking on AJ Styles. This was the better singles match of the two that was on display. Gunther and AJ Styles had a war. AJ Styles was ruthless as he went for the back of Gunther throughout the match. He was trying to make Gunther tap out. AJ Styles hit the Powerbomb for a 2 count.


Then AJ Styles hit the Styles Clash and it was a very close 2 count. Gunther gave a low blow kick to AJ Styles and hit the Powerbomb but it was not enough. This made Gunther lose his cool and he started hitting chop after Chop to Gunther but it only riled up his opponent. This was a 25 minutes all time classic. AJ Styles hit the 450 Splash. AJ Styles applied the sleeper lock on Gunther but Gunther got to the ropes. The end of the match was when Gunther got the sleeper locked in and AJ Styles was very close to the bottom rope but eventually he passed out. The Career Killer Gunther has another victim and AJ Styles has tons everyone backstage that he is done with professional wrestling.


Drew Mcintyre best Sami Zayn for WWE Championship

This was the match which had to follow the incredible AJ Styles moment. This match was very different and the fans tried to give Sami Zayn but after a spot where he tried to hit the Suicide dive and he hurt his lower back. After that the match lost all steam. Drew Mcintyre went to town on the lower back and he was hitting chops to Sami Zayn. Sami Zayn hit the Blue Thunder Bomb for a close 2 count. Sami Zayn had an emotional entrance to start the match. Drew Mcintyre hit Claymore but Sami Zayn kicked out. Sami Zayn also hit the Helluva Kick but his back was so hurt that he could not cover properly. This was a good 16 minutes match and the end was when Sami Zayn went for another Kick but Drew Mcintyre hit Claymore twice and won the match. It was exactly what it needed to be. Drew Mcintyre will walk into WrestleMania 42 as the WWE Champion.


Roman Reigns Wins the Men’s Royal Rumble Match

The Men’s Royal Rumble Match closed the show in spectacular fashion. Oba Femi entered first with a pyro-filled entrance, while Bron Breakker—scheduled for number two—was taken out by a masked attacker who delivered a Curb Stomp, allowing Femi to eliminate him easily. Oba Femi then went on a dominant run, eliminating Solo Sikoa, Rey Mysterio, Rusev, and Matt Cardona. Damian Priest entered at number seven, followed by Je’Von Evans at eight, who impressed by lasting over 40 minutes in his Royal Rumble debut. The crowd erupted for Trick Williams at number 10, while Cody Rhodes entered at 11 and later took part in a surreal face-off between El Grande Americano and the original El Grande Americano.


Momentum continued to build with Royce Keys at number 14, Ilja Dragunov at 17, and Logan Paul at 20. The returning LA Knight entered at 21 to a massive reaction and eliminated Austin Theory and Bronson Reed. Brock Lesnar arrived at 22 alongside Paul Heyman, dominated the ring, and eliminated Oba Femi before being ousted by Cody Rhodes and LA Knight. Jey Uso entered at 25, followed by Roman Reigns at 26 to the biggest ovation of the night. With Jacob Fatu at 27, Randy Orton at 29, and Gunther at 30, the final moments saw Roman Reigns eliminate five competitors—including Gunther—to win his second Royal Rumble and punch his ticket to WrestleMania.
