The IPL season is here and it will kick off from 28th March 2026. It will be a tournament where the batters will make merry but it is the bowlers that will win the titles. The best bowlers in the world will all gather in India and they will bowl on these flat pitches and try to take Wickets. The IPL is a tournament where the bowlers only get better because almost everything is stacked against them.
Let’s look at the Top 5 Bowlers who can dominate the IPL 2026 season
Jasprit Bumrah – Mumbai Indians
There can be no other bowler in the world to start this list than with the best of all time Jasprit Bumrah. He is the most important bowler for Mumbai Indians. He is not the captain but he is the highest paid player in the team. He was the man of the final in the 2026 World Cup where he took 4/15. He took 14 overall wickets in the tournament. Jasprit Bumrah will look to take 30 wickets during the IPL. The batters are scared of him and due to this fear they will give their wickets away. Mumbai Indians will also have Mitchell Santner and Treat Boult as the other bowlers.
Matheesha Pathirana – Kolkata Knight Riders
The most exciting overseas fast bowler to look out for in this IPL will be Matheesha Pathirana. He has been bought by KKR and he will look to get his lost form back this season. KKR have bet big on the young fast bowler from Sri Lanka but CSK decided to let him go even though Dhoni loved him. Pathirana would have to show the world that he is still one of the best young fast bowlers out there. Eden Gardens will be a tough pitch to bowl at and that is where he will look to take wickets. He will look to take more than 25 wickets.
Kuldeep Yadav – Delhi Capitals
Kuldeep was a part of the winning squad that recently won the World Cup with India. However he was not able to play as Varun Chakravarthy was given preference throughout the tournament. Kuldeep will be itching to get out there during the IPL and he will look to show the world that he is one Of the best spinners in the world. He will have Axar Patel as his Captain and fellow spinner. Kuldeep Yadav will look to become the highest wicket taker and earn his place back in the Indian playing 11. Kuldeep Yadav has won all the 3 ICC Trophies that India has won since 2024 as he was a part of all 3 teams.
Mohammad Siraj – Gujarat Titans
One of the other players who has won back to back World Cups with India but he was only able to play the one match this tournament. He took 3 wickets in that match. Mohammad Siraj is in Gujarat Titans where he will have Kagiso Rabada and Prasidh Krishna as the other fast bowlers. He will be eager to show the Indian team management that he deserves the chance to be the second fast bowler in the team after Jasprit Bumrah. Mohammad Siraj will be in a leadership position in the Gujarat Titans team due to his seniority. He will be breathing fire on the batters.
