In the Bangladesh-absence controversy for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, Pakistan have shown desperate support for Bangladesh. Despite the cloud over the India vs Pakistan match possibility in the group stage of the tournament, Pakistan are ready for the tournament, which India and Sri Lanka are jointly hosting from 7 February to 8 March 2026.
Although the T20 World Cup 2009 champions Pakistan failed to advance to the Super Eight stage in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, they earned direct qualification for the 2026 edition, thanks to having better T20I rankings.
Pakistan will play all their matches in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 in Sri Lanka, including the Group Stage with India, Namibia, the Netherlands, and the United States of America in Group A, and the Super Eight stage in Group 2.
