The 4 Grand Slams in Tennis are the biggest events in tennis yearly by a mile and these events are the most watched in the world as well and all the players want to win the Grand Slams because at the end of their careers, they are known by the number of Slams they have won and the higher number of Grand Slams they have won , the greater the player they are. However, there is always prize money which is attached to every Grand Slam.

So, let’s rank the 4 Grand Slams by prize money.

1) US Open - $60 Million

At number 1 is the US Open which has a prize money of $60 Million in total prizes that are available for the tournament and this is higher than the other 3 events. The US Open is not necessarily the most important Grand Slam of the year but the one with the highest prize money and the Men’s and Women’s singles winners room home $2.6 million each and the other money is given to the various other events. It is likely that the prize money will increase more in the coming years

2) Australian Open - $53.5 Million

At number 2 and just $6.5 Million behind the US Open is the Grand Slam from Australia and this is the first Grand Slam of the year and it happens in January. And the total prize money for the event is $53.5 Million with the Men’s and Women’s Singles winners taking home a good $2.5 Million each and in 2022 Ashleigh Barry retired after winning the Grand Slam and this year it was Novak Djokovic who won the Men’s Singles. And it is likely that the Australian Open will increase their prize money to $60 Million to compete with the US Open.

3) Wimbledon - $49.55 Million

At number 3 is Wimbledon which can be said to be the most prestigious and the most important Grand Slam of the year. However the prize money does not match the status and the Men’s and Women’s Singles winners get $2 Million which is a far cry from the $2.5 and $2.6 Million they get from the Australian Open and the US Open. Wimbledon has to increase its prize money to over $55 Million to compete with the other Grand Slams. Novak Djokovic has been winning $2 Million for the past number of years.

4) French Open - $46.5 Million

Just close at number 4 is the French Open which has a total prize money of $46.5 Million and it is just $3 Million short of Wimbledon but the prize money they give to their Men’s and Women’s Singles winners is more than what is given at Wimbledon which is $2.2 Million and this is a good thing to see that even though they are number 4 in the overall prize money list but here they are at number 3 when it comes to giving the champions their due. Wimbledon should act like it’s the most important Grand Slam and pay the players properly.
