WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Montreal Results 2026

The first Saturday Night Main Event of 2026 took place in Montreal Canada. There were more than 15,000 fans at the Bell Centre. There were 4 Matches that were announced and the show was excellent from top to bottom. This was the pre curser to the Royal Rumble which will be held on 31st January 2026.

Let’s look at the Results for Saturdays Night Main Event Montreal

Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu was a no contest

The first match of the night was between Cody Rhodes vs Jacob Fatu. WWE knew that both guys could not afford a loss at this stage. Therefore they did the thing that made the most sense. These two men started brawling even before the match began. Both men had hatred for each other. Jacob gave a Swanton Bomb through the table. Cody Rhodes showed his aggressive side. He hit Cross Rhodes to the floor. The fans were enjoying this and then Drew Mcintyre came out and he took out both guys by putting them through tables. The match never officially began. This feud will continue at least till the Elimination Chamber.

Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky beat Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez for WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship

This was the first proper match on the Card. The women’s tag team titles have become one of the most important titles in WWE. This was a fantastic match. Liv and Roxanne Perez were showing their tag team chemistry as they isolated Iyo Sky for a part of this match. Liv Morgan was relentless as she hit Iyo Sky with a brutal kick to the face. Raquel Rodriguez tried to interfere and help her teammates but Stephanie Vaquer took out her nemesis. Liv tried to hit Oblivion but Iyo Sky hit the MoonSault and Rhea Ripley finished the match with a Riptide. Rhiyo won the match and this was an excellent 14 minutes match.

AJ Styles beat Shinsuke Nakamura

This match was booked last night on SmackDown. AJ Styles will face Gunther at the Royal Rumble and he will put his career on the line. He had one last match against Shinsuke Nakamura and it was a 21 minute classic. This absolutely redeemed their WrestleMania 34 stinker. These two men played to their history as they continued the story from NJPW to this match. Shinsuke Nakamura was at his best and he was hitting AJ Styles with knee strikes. He even hit a basement slide German Suplex that was a near fall. AJ Styles was motivated as he wanted to make his opponent tap out to the Calf Crusher. They even showed respect to each other mid match. WWE should present Shinsuke Nakamura like this going forward. AJ Styles won this match and they hugged after the match. This was professional wrestling at its best.

Sami Zayn beat Randy Orton, Trick Williams and Damian Priest to become number 1 contender to WWE Championship

The hometown hero Sami Zayn was the favourite and Montreal cheered their favourite son. Randy Orton got a massive pop and Trick Williams is already over. Trick Williams was the perfect heel in this match and he needed to be great as the other 3 men in this match are babyfaces. Randy Orton gave a beautiful RKO when he reversed the Helluva Kick from Sami Zayn. Damian Priest hit the South of Heaven Chokeslam but it was not enough. Trick Williams was seen arguing with the referee like peak Roman Reigns. Randy Orton hit the draping DDT to 2 men in this match. This was a 17 minute match that was thoroughly entertaining. Sami Zayn won the match and he will again be the home counter favourite at Saudi Arabia against Drew Mcintyre.
