In the World Athletics Championships 2025, the women’s 200m event opened a new chapter. While it has been one of the key events in the Championship since its inaugural edition in 1983, the National Stadium in Tokyo, Japan, experienced a new story. 


World Athletics Championships 2025: Women’s 200m – Event Schedule

  • 18th September – Semi-finals

  • 19th September – Final

The women’s 200m event in the World Athletics Championships 2025 had three rounds. Starting with the Heats on 17th September, the Semi-finals and Final were held on 18th and 19th September, respectively.
